Her Joy is Complete (Posted Aug 28 2005) Martin Huyett - Vice President of Volunteer Services with Wycliffe Associates On behalf of Wycliffe Associates I want to say how shocked we all are at Julie's death. Many of us on the staff interacted directly with her and others were in involved with her in various ways, so this impacts all of us deeply. She embodied our visions and dreams of people young and old giving their time and talent to Bible Translation. And particularly young people like Julie represent great hope for completing the job of Bible translation in the near instead of far future. Joel Garrison, Wycliffe's Director in Davao wrote today, "Julie arrived in Davao in late July so had only been with us a few short weeks. Rarely has a new arrival on the mission field made such an impact in so short a time. Julie's zest for life and God was such a powerful influence on others. Her enthusiasm was definitely contagious which endeared her to all of her colleagues and the students in middle school that loved her already. We are grateful for the chance to have served God with her even for a short time." We join you in sorrow for our mutual loss of a dear friend and colleague. Everyone who knew Julie recognized her passion for serving Jesus and was very excited about the upcoming year in the Philippines. We will never understand why God did not allow her to live out that passion and have many more years of being a blessing to others. But we rejoice that her joy is complete as she sees her Jesus face to face. Thank you for being part of God's wonderful work in and through Julie by your friendship. All of us in Wycliffe Associates join with you in the joy of knowing and the sorrow of losing Julie. Your Brother in Christ, Martin Huyett Vice President of Volunteer Services Wycliffe Associates
