The Party Had Just Begun (Posted Sep 07 2005) Nancy Tseng - Sister in Christ, Serve Asia 2002 Honestly, my dear sis, Julie, I am still in a state of unbelief. It was just the other day when we were having one of our long talks about teaching, our parents, relationships, and our journeys with God. My mind still can't fully comprehend that you are not here with us. And my heart, ¦well, it's heavy. Who would've known that sending you off to Philippines was really sending you off into the arms of Jesus? Things seemed to just be getting good. Plans were unveiling. You were right in the middle of where He wanted you to be. It was time to celebrate all that had finally fallen into place--all the struggles in the past, all the heartaches and terms of healing. I guess the party had indeed begun, except that unbeknownst to us, the bulk of it would take place in Heaven. From the time of getting to know you during orientation of our short term trip in 2002 to now, it's been a pleasure witnessing God show His grace, power, and love in your life and to you. You always thought deeply, gave fully, loved whole-hearted, and worshipped passionately. You boasted not in your own weakness but in the Lord's strength. He always wanted to use you in that way it seemed. He surely is doing that to this day. Thank you for being one of the head cheerleaders of my life. "Surrendering" was never something that was easy for me. You and Mike seemed to have more similarities when it came to giving everything up for the cause of Christ. You resigned. So did he. But you accepted me and encouraged me in your own way. I could still hear the last thing you said to me, "That's what you get for marrying a Godly guy!" I will never forget your hearty laugh, the way you would pause and give a look that only you gave, or the way you would say "Ye-ah, ye-ah." I will miss you my dear sis. I may not understand why the Lord does what He does or the timing that He goes by but then again, I only see through my little window. You see the whole view now. As you requested on your prayer card for Philippines, may you be experiencing a deep heart of worship of Jesus and the fullness of joy that is there.
