.....and she touched the future through teaching! (Posted Aug 31 2005) Kim Karmirantzos - Teaching Colleague When Julie began teaching in Sunnyvale School District, I was her FOSS Science trainer. During the two day training, she shared with me her excitement and anxiousness regarding her first day of teaching. She came to my classroom and soaked up as much information as possible. A couple of years later (last year), her good friend Jocelyn was my student teacher and I reconnected with Julie to help with some committee work. I remember Julie's enthusiasm, excitement and dedication. Her teaching assignments were not always easy. I remember Jocelyn's admiration for her friend's work. I remember hoping back in May that Julie would return to teaching someday. Julie's work will live on through her students, her family and her friends. I am deeply saddened by our loss. My prayers are with her friends and family.
