Remembering Julie Chen

From Alvin Wu
Alvin Wu - Friend from Real World

Dear Julie,

This is so surreal. I'm waiting for you to post on your online journal or xanga again. Hurry up and post...please post.

I remember the first time I met you at Real World, where you were so excited that we were re-visiting our purpose and vision during our time at the Baylor House, and you said it was nice that a fellowship can discuss this in an open forum. Then after fellowship we talked about our favorite restaurants. I wasn't really part of the conversation, but you tried to pull me in. Thanks. =P.

We could talk about so many random things. My favorite of course will be on how we "box" people in with their MBTI. Instead of "boxing them in" it's moreso a chance to see what areas people can grow in. =P. I also enjoyed discussing boundaries, verbal affirmation, and another fav. topic, relationships. Hahaha. =P.

I'll miss seeing "Juleschen" pop up on my AIM.

This past year has been such a tremendous journey for you in growth. Thanks for being an encouragement to me. I have seen you take so many steps of faith, receiving healing and moving forward with your dreams. I was so excited for you when you decided to go to the Phillipines. Everything was coming together so awesomely. I'm glad you lived out your dream. You were so happy out there.

The tears I cry are because I will miss journeying with you more in life. I trust that God has a plan and purpose for taking you so early, and I hope to see what that is. I'm very happy that you are hanging out now with God.

Thanks for teaching me to dream big. I miss you.

Love, Alvin
